Enzymes are the secret key to
vibrant health because they help you get the most from what you eat.
"If you are
interested in longevity, vitality, superior health, overcoming
sickness, or if you have trouble losing weight and feel that
after taking vitamins and minerals for years you haven't really
benefited as much as you would like to, find a way to begin
supplementing with enzymes."

Nature's
Catalyst for Health
Whether
or not we are able to access the nutrients contained in foods depends
on the functioning and availability of digestive enzymes. These enzymes
come from two sources. Some are produced in the body and some are available
to us from raw foods and minimally processed and chemically unadulterated
fruits, vegetables and meats.
From the time moment food enters your mouth,
enzymes begin breaking it down into smaller and smaller units until
it can be absorbed through the intestinal wall.
Each class of macronutrients (protein,
carbohydrate and fat) has a corresponding type of digestive enzyme that
converts basic components into nutrients that are necessary for growth,
maintenance and repair of the body. A protein digestive enzyme cannot
break down fat, a fat digestive enzyme cannot break down a carbohydrate,
etc. Each macronutrient requires its own type of enzyme.
A Shortage
of enzymes leads to the incomplete breakdown of foods, which will
collect in the colon, creating an environment that is susceptible to
digestive distress, degenerative illness and rapid aging. A hundred
different problems from acne to cancer can start this way.

Experts
agree that enzyme supplements are good for you
"Enzyme supplements
protect your body from having to call on its limited supply
of enzymes, allowing your natural enzyme stores to last longer
and thereby encourage greater health and longevity. Supplements
help balance body chemistry and help alleviate distress placed
on your digestive organs as well as your immune system."
~ Janice Strubbe
Wittenberg, R.N.
The Rebellious Body
"The length and quality
of life is directly proportional to the level of enzyme activity
in the body. The increased use of enzymes promotes a decreased
rate of exhaustion of the enzyme potential, and thus, results
in a longer, healthier and more vital life."

What
happens if I'm short on enzymes?
Direction for use:
To maintain overall well-being and healthy digestive functions,
take one packet twice daily. Best taken at least ½ hour
before meals. Suitable for children 12 years and above.
Room temperature water is best
Never add hot water or ice-cold water to Nn Enzyme Plus, as enzymes
are very sensitive to temperature. Just add one packet of Enzyme

drink immediately.

Caveats
Digesive enzymes are generally safe. If you experience soft
stools or quesiness while on supplemental enzymes, reduce
the dosage and drink plenty of water. If you have a history
of allergy to pineapple or papaya, it's best that you consult
your doctor or nutritionist before taking any plant-derived
enzymes. This also applies to those with gastritis or stomach
/ duodenal ulcers and blood clotting disorders. Hydrochloric
acid supplements may break down enzymes and reduce their activity.
To avoid this problem, practitioners recommend that acid supplements
be taken at the beginning of a meal and enzymes at the end
of the meal. Though digestive enzymes may be useful in some
cases, it is advisable for expectant and nursing mothers to
consult their doctor before considering supplementation.
