How Business Owners & Shoppers
Transact With Your eCenter
     
     

When Business Owners or Shoppers visit your eCenter for registration or shopping purposes, you are required to will have to guide them properly in carrying out these transactions.

     
     
New Business Owner Registration:
     

To fill in the particulars, ask the Applicant for his Identification Card or passport and type his name according to the Identification Card/ passport. You should also ensure his name in the Bank Account is same to that his Identification Card/ passport. If not, you should type the name as stated in the Bank Account so that the New Business Owner can get the bonus and incentive payment remitted to his Bank Account.

After completing the Registration Form, read out to the Applicant all the details as typed in, to confirm that all information is correct.

You should collect from the Applicant the amount in local currency to the equilvalent of the US $ amount as indicated on the 'Cash Payment Summary' screen before you click 'Confirm'. You should then issue the eCenter Receipt bearing the relevant details and hand it to the New Business Owner. If payment is made by credit card, you must ensure that the physical card is present.

 
Some Common Questions & Answers:
     
Q. Are eCenters available only in Malaysia?
A. No. Presently, eCenters are available in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore.
     
Q. Can Business Owners from countries other than the four stated above apply to operate eCenters?
A.

No. However, an eCenter Operators in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore can appoint a non-Malaysian as a Sub-User. For example, if an Australian has been appointed to operate as a Sub-User in Australia, he will transact using the eCenter Operator's Account. He should collect payment in Australian $ to the equivalent of the US$ amount as indicated on the eCenter payment screen. On a regular basis, this appointed Sub-User remits the amount collected back to the eCenter Operator based on a mutually agreed arrangement.

     
Q.

Can the eCenter or its appointed Sub-Users perform sales transactions when they are overseas?

A.

Yes, they can. Everything is the same and they will just need to follow the normal procedures and collect equivalent payment in the relevant foreign currency.

     
Q. How do I know if an eCenter is appointed by eCosway?
A.

All officially appointed eCenters will be listed with details of their names, addresses and telephone numbers etc on the eCenter Website under 'List of eCenters'.

Q. Can I change my eCenter's name/ID?
A.

No. You are not allowed to change your eCenter name/ID. Similarly, when you register Business Owners, you should remind them that once they have registered a name, they cannot change it.

     
Q.

Can a Business Owner cancel his Business Ownership and ask for a refund after his application has been accepted and confirmed by the eCosway System?

A.

Yes. A Business Owner's cancellation must be within 14 days from the date of registration and the EDO must not have been exercised. If these conditions are met, you can proceed by having the Business Owner fill-in and sign the Cancellation Form. If the EDO has been exercised, no refund will be made upon cancellation.

     
Q. If I shop at the eCenter, do I collect my purchase from the eCenter?
A.

No. Products purchased at eCenters will be shipped directly to the delivery address specified during purchase.

     
Q.

Why is Commission not paid for transactions using Credit Card and Refund eAccount as well as on Freight Charges?

A. (a) Credit Card :
   

eCosway has to pay commission charges or fees to the credit card companies for transactions paid by Credit Card.

     
  (b) Refund eAccount :
   

Products purchased utilizing the refund eAccount are like 'replacements' and commissions for those products have already been paid earlier.

     
  (c) Freight Charges :
   

Freight Charges are actual amounts paid to the courier company concerned, and eCosway does not earn anything from it. In some cases, eCosway subsidizes the freight charges.

     
     
Q. What mode of payment can I accept?
A.
