Online Registration for Japan No Longer Available from 1 June, 2011 Onwards

Please be informed that the online registration facility for Japan (for Independent Business Owner registrations) will no longer be available from 1 June, 2011 (Wed) onwards. You will need to direct or bring your prospects in Japan to our eCosway stores there for registration. Please click here for store locations.

We enabled online registrations for Japan in September 2010 to facilitate recruitment efforts before our official launch in Japan. As we have already launched in Japan and set up a good number of stores there, we have decided the remove the online registration facility so that prospects will sign up at our stores, and take advantage of the ease and convenience to purchase products immediately after registration. We will also be opening more stores in other areas of Japan soon.

eCosway Donates US$180,000 for Japan Relief Efforts

eCosway donated US$100,000 in cash and over US$80,000 in food products to help the survivors of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The US$100,000 donation was given in the form of a cheque to the Japanese Red Cross Society. Mr. Yeap Dein Wah, the Director of Cosway Malaysia and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the president of Bakti (Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers) presented the donation to Japanese Ambassador Masahiko Horie in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

In Japan, eCosway donated food products worth over US$80,000 through our eCosway Japan HQ which delivered the goods to Iwaki City Measure Support Group and South Soma City Measure Support Group to be distributed accordingly.

We hope that our contribution will help those impacted by this tragedy as they work to rebuild their lives and communities.

General Announcement about Promoting eCosway in the USA

Dear Business Owner,

We are almost ready to officially open for business in the USA. Before we begin, it is crucial that all existing eCosway members understand a few very important things about promoting eCosway in the USA.

There are three things not allowed by the US government:

1) Income or lifestyle claims
2) Guarantees or promises of big income or “getting rich”
3) Claims that any Product cures a medical condition

You cannot tell existing member’s incomes, or even imply their incomes using lifestyle examples. You cannot show anyone’s “check” or online eAccount amount. In other words, you cannot show how anyone has gotten rich in eCosway (or made any certain amount of money) and imply that others can too.

You cannot say or imply that a person is sure to get rich or receive a large income by joining eCosway.

You cannot discuss any medical condition or any of the major symptoms of medical conditions when describing our products. You can never use any of the following words: AIDs, acne, anorexia, arthritis, asthma, blood sugar, bronchitis, cancer, carcinoma, cardio-, cardiac, cholesterol, circulation, depression, diabetes, flu, high blood pressure / hypertension, insomnia, melanoma, obesity, pancreatic, pulmonary, respiratory, systemic, viral infections, or even constipation! (unless you say “occasional constipation”). This is just a basic list of forbidden words. It would be impossible to list every single word considered unacceptable by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). As a guide, just remember that you can’t use any word that specifically describes a “problem” in any part of the body. More info here.

The government is very strict in the US, and we are a legally compliant company.

Please do not violate any of the above or we will have no choice but to terminate your eCosway business ownership or risk having the entire company shut down.

In addition to the US government laws, the following are against eCosway’s policies and can be grounds for termination:

1) Producing any materials, websites, blogs, etc. or even website URLs or email addresses that contain the words Cosway or eCosway or any of our trademarks (product names etc.) without explicit WRITTEN permission from the company. Do not produce your own materials as this can get the company in trouble. Ask before you publish anything. We’d like to emphasize that since the Internet is global, any online violations (even though the material may not clearly target or even mention the USA) are also damaging to our company and can get us into trouble, so we reserve the full right to immediately terminate the business ownerships of violators.
2) “Line-Switching” people who are already in eCosway by asking them to join you using a family member’s name or a company name. Don’t invite people who are already in eCosway to join your group. The only way people can switch uplines, is to officially resign their original position and then wait 3 months with no activity whatsoever (no meeting attendance, no buying, no sponsoring, etc. even in another name) for three months before joining another sponsor.
3) Introducing other companies to eCosway members. While it is not against eCosway’s policies for you to be a member of another direct selling, network marketing or mlm company, it IS against our policies for you to promote that company to eCosway members. If you are in another company, please refrain from soliciting eCosway members or risk losing your eCosway membership. It is unfair to hardworking IBOs to have their downlines distracted by other offers.

It is our goal to help everyone succeed in eCosway in the USA. Please avoid making the above mentioned mistakes and help us to make eCosway the best and strongest company in America.
