Step 7- Set up an Office

1. Choose a name for your business. You can just use your own name, but many people prefer to actually come up with a name for their own company. Make it something that communicates instantly what's special about your business. Tell people what you have to offer or what's unique about you. Some good names that other have come up are things like "WealthBuilders," "LifeMasters," "The Synergy Group," "Lifestyle Planners" etc.

3. Set up a separate bank account for your eCosway activity.

4. Set up an actual office to work in. Even if it is just a small makeshift desk in the corner of the bedroom, that's fine.

5. Set up an email account. Click here for a list of free email services.

6. Make sure you have access to a good phone.
If you can afford it, get a separate line or a mobile phone for your business. If you have use a second line at home, train your family to answer it professionally. Get a phone that has speakerphone, memory, speed dial, and redial features, etc. Order call waiting and 3-way calling from the phone company if it is available. This will allow you to have a prospect on the phone as well as a colleague or someone who can help you answer any objections.

7. Get an answering machine or voice mail
that allows you to retrieve messages and return calls whenever you are on the road.

8. Set up some kind of a Daily Planner.
This can be a hand-held electronic organizer or a simple paper-based system. Use it to set and keep appointments. A good planner should incorporate your goals and keep you on track. .

9. Set up a Filing System.
Establish a system for storing important papers, articles, marketing materials, etc. that are relevant to your business.

10. Organize your contacts. You can do this electronically with a program like Microsoft Outlook, or you can do it manually with contact sheets or index cards. It is best if you can easily sort by: Prospects, Shoppers, Business Owners and Group Leaders. Keep track of things like email addresses, contact numbers, addresses, special interests, and key conversations you have with people.
