1. How do I use Silensor® ?
Silensor® may be clipped onto your pyjamas, placed under your pillow, or strapped to the headboard of your bed for the entire night. Always ensure that the device is no more than 30cm away from your head.

2. Should I use Silensor® only when I experience sleeping difficulties? Must I use it everyday?
We recommend that you use Silensor® only for nights that you experience difficulty sleeping.

3. Can I used Silensor® to put my crying baby to sleep?
No, Silensor is not meant for babies or toddlers.

4. Can my school-going teenage kid use Silensor®?
Yes. In fact, we recommend Silensor® for students with sleeping problems as studies have repeatedly shown that sleep deprivation can be detrimental to memory. Students need ample sleep to excel academically; poor sleep quality can affect their learning abilities and performance.

5. Will Silensor® cause me to oversleep and miss my morning appointments?
No. Silensor® will not cause you to oversleep or have any difficulties waking up.

6. My sister needs to use two units of Silensor® at once in order for them to work. Is this harmful?
No, this is not harmful. The safety of Silensor® has been well established. While one unit of the device is sufficient for most individuals, very few individuals have commented that they needed two units for better results.

7. My mother who suffered from insomnia for the past 20 years did not feel any immediate relief with Silensor®. She only felt an improvement after a week. Is this normal?
While most people would experience immediate relief with Silensor® , a few individuals may need a little more time before they can reap any benefits from these devices. If you belong to this minority, you should be patient and try using the device for at least 2 weeks.

8. Can my husband and I share one unit of Silensor® at once?
You are encouraged to get one unit each. It is not very practical to share one unit of Silensor® between 2 people as the working range of the device is approximately 30cm, and it may not be effective unless you can keep both heads very close to each other throughout the night.

9. Can Silensor® be used long term? Will I get dependant on it? Are there any side effects?
Pulsating magnetic field therapy has been used for over thousands of years and its safety has been proven throughout the years. Silensor® are clinically tested, and is registered as a Class Iia device in Germany. They may be used long term without any side effects. You will not develop any dependency on these devices.

10. Sometimes when I press the “on/off” switch, the indicator light blinks intermittently. How do I know if I’ve switched it on or off?
When you press the “on/off” switch, the GREEN light flashes once to indicate that the device has been switched ON, or the RED light flashes once to indicate that the device has been switched OFF. Should the indicator light blink intermittently when the “on/off” switch is pressed, wait for a few seconds before pressing the switch again. Repeat procedure until green or red light appears only once. When in doubt about the working condition of the device at any point, press switch again to confirm.

11. Can children or pregnant/breastfeeding mothers use Silensor ®?
It is not recommended for pregnant women to use Migomed® or Silensor®. However, there is no contraindication for breastfeeding mothers and children above six years old.

12. Are Silensor® suitable for those using pacemaker?
Since there are no safety tests for this group of people, we do not recommend that pacemaker users use any of these devices.

13. Can Silensor® be used during flights?
Yes. In fact, Silensor® are recommended for travelers who experience sleeping difficulties in the aircraft or experience headaches due to pressure and motion.

14. If I suffer from headaches and also have difficulty sleeping at night, can I use Migomed® and Silensor® at the same time?
We do not recommend that both devices be used at the same time as this may affect the efficacy of both devices. Try using Migomed® before you go to bed, and Silensor® only when you are going to bed.

15. How long can the battery last?
With normal usage of 8 hours daily, the battery should last at least 6 months.

16. What is “FQ Security System”?
“FQ Security System” is a patented system that guarantees the accuracy of frequency and magnetic field intensity of both devices. (Silensor® operates with a magnetic field intensity of 5 µT and a frequency of 4 Hz) In the event of a change in frequency, this system is activated and the red light comes on and stays on until the battery runs out, and device will have no longer have any effect on the user. If this occurs during the 1-year warranty period, please email sales@ecosway.com and ask for a replacement unit.
