Questions & Answers

Liquid chlorophyll supplements available in the market are generally derived from the alfalfa plant. Why is the source of chlorophyll in Nn Liquid Chlorophyll not alfalfa?
Nn Liquid Chlorophyll is obtained from White Mulberry (Morus alba L.), a time-honored source of rich, health-promoting chlorophyll that does not cause adverse side effects. The same cannot be said of alfalfa. The Ministry of Health of Malaysia cautions those with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), an auto-immune condition prevalent in Malaysia, to consult their physicians before consuming supplements containing alfalfa.

Why is chlorophyll extracted from White Mulberry or Morus alba L. special?
Morus alba L., popularly known as White Mulberry or Silkworm Mulberry, is well-known in silk-producing countries, such as China, Japan, India and Vietnam. Young tender Mulberry leaves are fed to silkworms to yield high-productivity strains for quality silk. Chinese herbalists use Mulberry leaves to rebalance the body’s vital energy levels. Mulberry grown without the influence of harsh chemicals and pesticides yields chlorophyll that is true to the natural chemical composition found in the leaves themselves.
